Summary
Installing hardware and hand soldering of electronic components in printed circuit boards. Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow standard Assembly Process Instructions (APIs)
- Solder through-hole components
- Use hand and power tools such as soldering irons, cutters, pliers, screwdrivers, and scopes
- Light mechanical assembly and press fit
- Perform intermediate hand assembly/soldering operations
- Utilize soldering machines to perform wire/lead tinning
- Route and attach wires and form circuitry
- Installation of through-hole and surface mount components (basic hand soldering)
- Identify and apply very small components in very small spaces without damaging adjacent parts
- Keep work environment clean, safe and orderly
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous soldering experience preferred
- IPC Certification preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred, but not required
- Must be able to read instructions in English
- Must be able to work under microscope for long periods of time
Shift
- Monday – Friday (7:00am – 3:30pm)
- Overtime availability required after 3:30 pm and Saturday mornings
